Superstitious

Are you superstitious?

Having seen how wizards and witches manipulate things into occurring, I find that I am not really superstitious. I can easily picture a wizard or witch being behind a superstition. For example, perhaps the superstition of breaking a mirror causing seven years of bad luck came about when an unsuspecting Muggle broke an enchanted mirror. A bored wizard could have cast simple hexes at his unsuspecting Muggle neighbours when they walked under a ladder. And so on.

Superstitions don’t really fit in my world. I don’t believe in them and I have no fear of Friday the thirteenth or black cats or broken mirrors. The things that I fear are real and tangible instead of fleeting and ephemeral. I fear the Dark Lord and his followers taking over Hogwarts and wiping out all who stand in their way. I fear Harry not being able to fulfill his destiny. I fear my parents being murdered by a group of Death Eaters.

temper, temper

What makes you lose your temper?

I am sure that Ron and Harry will say that a million and one things make me lose my temper. I can’t help if the boys and their laziness have a tendency to make me mad, it just does.

Who Am I?

Who am I?

It depends on who’s asking.

There’s some that will tell you that I am the brightest witch of my age. Other’s who’ll sneer and call me a filthy mudblood.

Even others who will tell you that I am nothing more than a Gryffindor know-it-all.

However, I am most known for being one third of Hogwarts’ famous, or infamous, trio.

When I look in the mirror I see a young woman who’s just beginning to learn that power doesn’t come from knowing all the answers in the textbooks. That being clever and smart isn’t just about absorbing endless amounts of knowledge. And I see a young woman who’s come to accept all of the things that people have said about me, whether it’s pleasant or not.
